Two people were injured following a single-vehicle crash in Citrus Heights on Wednesday afternoon, March 27, 2024.
According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, the crash happened around 4:20 p.m. on Sylvan Road near the 6500 block.
Authorities stated the car crashed into a tree, trapping two people inside. Emergency responders helped in getting the two victims out of the car and transported them to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
Southbound Sylvan Road and Woodside Drive were shut down, and the northbound Sylvan Road at Stock Ranch Road was under one-lane traffic control.
No further details were released, and the authorities are gathering all necessary information to determine the cause of the crash.
