A 29-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Sylmar, Los Angeles on Sunday night, July 20, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. near the intersection of Polk Street and DeGarmo Avenue.
Witnesses told officers that a vehicle traveling eastbound on Polk Street struck the pedestrian and fled the scene without stopping.
The victim, identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office as Carlos P., was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. His place of residence was not immediately available.
No suspect or vehicle description has been released. The investigation is ongoing.
