A woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in Pacoima, Los Angeles, on Monday evening, August 4, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were dispatched at approximately 8:15 p.m. to the intersection of Osborne Street and Haddon Avenue.
Investigators determined that the suspect was traveling westbound on Osborne Street when he struck a woman crossing the street outside of a crosswalk.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
Police stated that the suspect did not stop to assist the victim but was apprehended shortly after the collision.
Officers closed Osborne Street between Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Haddon Avenue during the investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
