A man was struck and killed in a hit-and-run collision in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Monday night, August 18, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded around 9:57 p.m. to the intersection of 74th and Figueroa Streets, west of the Harbor (110) Freeway.
Authorities said the man was outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver did not stop to assist and fled the scene.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
No information on the suspect or the vehicle has been released. The LAPD is investigating the crash.
