A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run collision at La Brea Avenue south of Venice Boulevard in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles on Friday night, September 12, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crash occurred around 10:21 p.m. The pedestrian was crossing La Brea Avenue eastbound when they were struck by a dark or silver-colored Honda CRV. The driver continued northbound on La Brea without stopping to provide aid or identify themselves, as required by law.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the pedestrian to a hospital, where the person was pronounced deceased. The identity of the pedestrian has not been released pending notification of relatives. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the LAPD West Traffic Division or Crime Stoppers.
Police continue to investigate the hit-and-run incident.
