A 91-year-old woman was killed and another person injured in a two-vehicle collision in Elk Grove on Saturday afternoon, September 27, 2025.
According to the Elk Grove Police Department, officers responded around 2:50 p.m. on Bond Road at Salmon Creek Drive.
The crash occurred when the 91-year-old driver attempted an illegal U-turn in front of the fire station on Bond Road and was struck by another vehicle. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The other driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Authorities continue to investigate the collision.
