Seven people were taken to hospitals, including one in critical condition, following a two-vehicle collision near Claypit and Ione roads in east Sacramento County on Saturday morning, September 27, 2025.
According to the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, emergency medical services were dispatched around 10:07 a.m. Both vehicles sustained significant front-end damage.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
