A crash involving multiple big rigs on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway near North Vernon Avenue in Azusa caused thousands of beer cans and several kegs to spill across the roadway on Tuesday morning, September 30, 2025.
According to reports, the crash occurred shortly after 3:30 a.m., resulting in significant freeway backups as crews worked to clear debris. One of the big rigs split in half on the freeway, further contributing to the congestion.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at 3:32 a.m., closing lanes 3 and 4 along with the Vernon Avenue on-ramp. The SigAlert was extended at 6:08 a.m. while cleanup operations continued.
