Three people were injured following a reckless single-vehicle crash in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, late Friday evening, April 19, 2024.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on Saticoy Street, east of Sepulveda Boulevard.
Reports indicate that a vehicle was seen driving quickly before losing control and slamming through the outdoor seating area of a Subway. It struck a BMW sedan and overturned on top of four other vehicles.
Two teenagers and one other victim were transported to a hospital in critical condition. It is unclear if any others were injured.
A 15-year-old unlicensed and uninsured driver was identified in the initial police report. Drug paraphernalia was also uncovered near the scene.
The authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
