[09-07-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 405 Freeway

One person was killed, and another suffered minor injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass, Los Angeles County, on Monday afternoon, September 7, 2026.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the collision was reported shortly after 2:30 p.m. on the northbound 405 Freeway near Getty Center Drive.

Authorities said at least five vehicles were involved. One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.

Paramedics also evaluated another person who sustained minor injuries. Additional information about that individual was not immediately available.

The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
